Welcome to Van Wishingrad's research website!

My research program aims to explore patterns and processes shaping biodiversity across spatial and temporal scales. I use a variety of approaches in my work, including population genomics, phylogenomics, and landscape genomics methods to study individuals and populations and methods in environmental DNA (eDNA) to study processes at the level of entire communities. My future research interests include combining these techniques to push the field of eDNA forward toward more integrated measurements of ecosystem function and composition.
